Rue

After years and years of wanting and planning, I finally adopted a puppy of my own! She is a Yorkshire Terrier, 10 weeks old and so adorable. I thought really hard about names and came up with a bunch but ultimately decided with Rue.

I first met Rue on Tuesday. When she fell asleep in my lap, it was over. I had to have her. So I picked her up last night and have been hanging out with her ever since. She sleeps a lot! And like a log.. so that's good. She was pretty depressed when we left her mom but she soon perked up. Potty training is going alright and she already doesn't like the collar and harness.

I know it's a huge responsibility to have a dog. There are also a lot of sacrifices involved. For instance just today, waking up at 5am on a Saturday morning, passing up on watching Harry Potter 7.2 with my roommies, certain traveling plans, costs, etc. But I am already so overcome with joy, love and happiness for this little pup.

She's the best.
