Last First Day of School Ever (Probably)

Today was the first day of my third year of law school. Unless I decide to pursue a PhD or another graduate degree, this will be my last first day of school ever! Crazy! A lot of my classmates are excited to be finished with school. And in some situations it is completely understandable (i.e. when your soon to be husband lives out of state). But I love school. I don't want it to be over. I'm sad it's going to be over in eight months.

I want to make the most of my last year in law school. How? I'm not completely sure. But I will definitely try.

I'm pretty excited about my classes. As of right now, they are water law, disaster law, white collar crime, and transactional lawyering. Doesn't sound too intense? Even almost fun? Exactly. That will not be the case next semester though. I really wish the fun classes could be my last semester but I have no say in class scheduling. I also have an externship in Salt Lake. The horrible I-15 commute is not over yet.

In other news, what else has been going on in my life? Rue (nicknames: Ruey, Ruey-Boo, Rue-Girl, PUPPY!). I had no idea how much work it takes to care for a puppy. Granted, I am pretty involved... I suppose there are people who are not as particular in raising their puppy.. I just know these months are essential to her development and socialization. I want Rue to have manners. Good, polite manners. Generally, I think she's pretty good. I just need to work on her barking. I also think she's pretty smart. I'm happy about that. (Rue has grown a lot since the picture on the left was taken)

Nikki and I are going to Zion National Park to hike the Narrows. I am so excited! It's going to be absolutely wonderful. I will post pictures.
