Powerful Women

I have a lot to do. Namely, a 25 page paper on the feasibility of amending the Stafford Act to include pandemics, terrorism, and technological disasters, secured transactions studying, water law review, externship research on issues concerning the Federal Tort Claims Act, a source pull and tech edit, class readings, and some firm and research assistant stuff. Goodness. It's kind of overwhelming to list all that stuff out. Despite all I have to do, I still procrastinate. This blog post is... a perfect example. Hah.

Okay the real reason for this post is to showcase Forbes' World's 100 Most Powerful Women. Wow. It was incredible to read the accomplishments some of these women have made in their lives. And some are relatively quite young. I also saw that Germany, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, and others currently have female Prime Ministers/Presidents. Cool beans! Okay, please note that I knew Australia, Germany and Argentina had female heads of state. It was just unexpected to click through the Forbes' list and consistently see "Prime Minister" or "President."

I also found out from the Forbes' list that the founders of Forever 21 are Asian. What? That was a huge surprise. Oh and maybe it's because I'm in law school and slightly biased.. but I think at least one of the female Supreme Court Justices should have made the list. They do have tons of power and influence. And no Canadian women? Aw sad.

Okay back to work. I may need to go to campus to actually get work done...
